| | | | | | | | | Dr.McGuire received his medical degree at Columbia University in New York, and did his general surgery residency and chief residency at UCLA. A year of basic science research in skin biomechanics at Stanford followed. He then returned to UCLA for his plastic surgery residency, which he completed in 1980. A traveling fellowship in Great Britain included time spent at world famous Canniesburn Hospital in Scotland. He then returned to become Associate Clinical Professor at UCLA. Dr. McGuire is Chief of Plastic Surgery at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica and President of Pacific Coast Plastic Surgery Center. He is Vice President of the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, and President elect in the year 2000. He is treasurer of the American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities, the leading surgery center accrediting body in the United States. He is also Vice President of California Medical Review, Inc., the quality improvement organization for the 3.7 million Medicare beneficiaries in California. He is fellow of the American College of Surgeons and Royal Society of Medicine and obtained board certification in 1981 and listed in WHO'S WHO IN AMERICA. | | | | |
