This patient is a 89 year old female diabetic with vascular disease and congestive heart failure. She presented with a traumatically induces leg ulcer on the anterior aspect of her left shin, Aug 11, 2003. She had tried to treat it herself but it became worse and she now sought treatment in my office.

The ulcer was cleaned, measured and treated with biO2's Oxy-Mist treatment system and a culture was taken. The ulcer site was dressed with adeptic and gauze. The patient was put on Augmentin SOOmg three times a day for 10 days.

During subsequent visits the deep grade II ulcer made remarkable progress and currently is almost healed.
